Charlie 'Squid' Camilleri
Jet Racer - Team Owner
Team owner and pilot Charlie ‘Squid’ Camilleri has been racing in the Jet class of the National Championship Air races since 2012 and is one of the most experienced pilots on the track. Charlie has been flying his entire life and spent many years working on his flying skills to compete at the prestigious National Championship Air races.
Tammy 'JetSheila' Camilleri
Jet Racer
Tammy 'Jet Sheila’ Camilleri has been attending the races with her husband Charlie since 2012 and in 2022 she qualified to race in the Jet class in September of 2022.
She has raced every year since and became the first jet pilot to win a race at the inaugural Roswell NCAR event in 2025. Australia's only female Jet racer and one of 5 women in the world licensed to race.
George 'Rainman' Ryan
Jet Racer
George “Rainman” Ryan joined the international jet racing community in 2023, qualifying as a Jet Class race pilot and earning Rookie of the Year in his first season.
In 2026, George will make his first race appearance at the National Championship Air Races in Roswell, New Mexico, representing Australia alongside CCTRacing.
Joe 'Facepunch' Swindel
Jet Racer - Navy Pilot
Joe “Facepunch” Swindel became part of the CCTRacing story when Charlie gave him the opportunity to fly and qualify as a Jet Class race pilot.
In 2026, Facepunch returns to the pylons for his debut at the National Championship Air Races in Roswell, New Mexico, flying CCTRacing’s second L-29 — Race #19, “Delphin Devil.”
Lyn Gray
Ground Crew
Lyn Gray brings an extraordinary depth of aviation experience to CCTRacing.
Lyn is one of Australia’s most highly experienced CASA Flight Examiners.
At NCAR, Lyn swaps the examiner’s seat for the race pits, supporting the aircraft and pilots as part of the CCTRacing ground crew.
Sid Palmer
Ground Crew
Sid Palmer is a key member of the CCTRacing ground crew.
Away from air racing, Sid works with SpaceX recovery operations, helping recover spacecraft after their return to Earth.
At NCAR, Sid is back on the ground with CCTRacing, supporting the pilots, aircraft and keeps the team racing.
